T.I.P.S. Program

T.I.P.S. or the Technical Information Portal Service, is an interactive library of electronic files used to deliver enhanced information services to customers. This tool will improve both safety and productivity. The portal will further enable Joy’s customers to operate at the lowest cost per ton by providing the critical information they want, when they need it. The Technical Information Portal offers a valuable service by not only eliminating problems in the initial delivery of information, but it also provides ongoing access to everyone who needs to use or re-use the information.

Two unique features of T.I.P.S. are the ability of Joy to deliver informational updates, and it allows the customer to annotate the information to record field changes or capture knowledge gained during the life of the equipment. In this way, the portal enables and enhances the communication of information to and from Joy’s customers.

Access machine serial number specific information from
your parts catalogs from any site in your organization.

Use the Technical Service manuals to reference machine specific safety information, tool lists, and maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Reinforce technical concepts learned in Joy-led training

T.I.P.S. FAQ’s

Access to the T.I.P.S. is available as an annual or multi-year subscription.

Users are assigned individual user ids and passwords.

A standard web browser and two free plug-ins are the only software programs required.

The centralized database guarantees your machine documentation is always available even when your equipment changes locations.

Many of the files within the information libraries may be downloaded to your local hard drive.

Parts catalogs and technical service manuals are serial number specific.

Customer specific information is seen only by your employees.  No information is shared with outside parties.
